How We Program at Vickery

Every class at Vickery Athletics is part of a structured 6–10 week program cycle — strength, hypertrophy, and aerobic conditioning planned deliberately, not random daily workouts. Here's how a cycle is built, what a single coached session looks like, and where each of our programs fits.

How It Works

Programming, Not Random Workouts.

Most gyms write today's workout on a whiteboard and hope it adds up. Vickery writes cycles. Here's how a month of training takes shape.

  1. STEP 01

    Cycle Is Planned

    Coaches set the 6–10 week target — like building back squat, conditioning capacity, or an aerobic base — and program backward from it.

  2. STEP 02

    Week Is Structured

    Each week undulates intensity, volume, and movement patterns. Heavy days, conditioning days, and accessory days are sequenced so nothing stacks badly.

  3. STEP 03

    Class Is Coached

    Every session is coached live. Warm-up, skill or strength, conditioning, cool-down. Real cues, real scaling, real feedback — not a whistle.

  4. STEP 04

    Progress Is Measurable

    Lifts go up. Conditioning scores drop. Body comp changes. We use InBody scans and documented workout scores so progress is a fact, not a vibe.

The strength piece of the cycle — squat, press, pull, or a skill — coached with real cues and real scaling.

Conditioning

30–50 min

The engine work. Intervals, circuits, or a metcon scaled to exactly where you are today.

Cool-Down

50–60 min

Heart rate down, mobility, reset. Out the door in sixty — better than you walked in.

Our coaches take on a limited number of 1-on-1 clients in Dallas, TX for focused goals, return-to-train after injury, or a plan that's fully your own. Every session is programmed for where you actually are — not a template — and tracked so progress is measurable.

Train your own way. Access after your membership is established.

Open gym at Vickery Athletics gives established members off-class-hours access to train their own way in Dallas, TX. Access unlocks after 1 month of membership so new members build a base in coached classes first, then layer in solo training once the movement foundation is there. Full equipment — barbells, rigs, conditioning gear.
